So many of us had our lives shattered when Nick and Chris du Plessis the pilot were involved in a tragic helicopter accident on the 23 May 2007, whilst they were busy with a game search on Bitterfontein farm flying along the Mokolo river in South Africa. This website is dedicated to celebrating Nick’s life, so many of us had our lives enriched by his presence, enthusiasm and pure fun of life. His charisma and personality ensured that there were no dull moments when Nick was around.

With this website we wish to record Nick’s family life from a young boy, growing up with his sister and brother, Eska and Alex, his married life with Sarah and his passion to hunt with Angus at Angus Brown safaris. Nick loved all his family and whenever the opportunity arose, especially with Uncles and cousins, he enjoyed the fun and games when we were together.

Nick developed many friendships during his 30 years, with people that he played with, studied with and clients that he hunted with. In the design of this site the intention is to invite everyone who has a special moment or experience, shared with Nick, to send it in so that we can have a site that “tells the story” of Nicks’ achievements, excitement, laughter and challenges.

Nicks’ website will continually be changing as we add journals, photo’s and other stories and there will be pleasure for each of us from sharing our experiences that we have of Nick and getting to know his life better. I thank each of you for the contribution that you might wish to make.

Mike Kilbride.
